Madden 08 PS2/PC Fusion

First, congrats to my older brother who is getting married this weekend! Second, the real good news is I inherited his PS2 with 32 titles and PS3 with 17 titles! So as it stands I have every Madden Football from the first Madden Football PC to Madden 20! Madden 09-12 PS2, Madden 25-18 PS3!

Now...

All of the PS2 Madden's have demo games! Why didn't EA Sports include them in Madden 08 PC? Why did EA exclude so many features from the PC version?

I'm running several tests for cross compatibility between Madden 08 PC & Madden 08 PS2. and NCAA 08 PS2!

First group of tests included importing a single PC file into the following PS2 files: Gamedat (Trick Plays Playbook); Sounddat (NFL Network Intro); Moviedat (NFL on CBS)!

If those are successful, I am going to test bringing the demo movies from PS2 to PC! Wish me luck! I also noticed the PS2 playbooks are much larger than the default 08 books! I will probably import them into a default pc gamedat.

I would like to have the NFL teams added to NCAA 08 PS2 for franchise play! I always imagined what the NFL would be like if it had access to the NCAA option logic and those playbooks!

I would like to try the HD fields to fieldart.dat (but I'm really enjoying the PS2 mud and snow fields) and import the updated roster!

I haven't touched the Frosty Utility for Madden 20 for editing purposes. I only use it to load the mods, not graphics! I tested using the Madden 20 PBE with good results! I would love to get the "option blocking routes" from M20 into the 08 2020 books! Or even add the blocking table into the option routes table for 08!

I did inject the base fields into the PS2 Stadata.dat file this morning! Testing later! I would love to get the newer stadiums like the "49ers Reloaded" version and the latest Heinz Field posted by TPPE into the dats!

I found that some of the original tpf's created from vanilla PC 08 (equipment (testing stadiums later) work because they use the same game default memory addresses as PS2 08!

I did find another ripper tool called Ninja Ripper 1.7.1. It's similar to Texmod!

And for some odd reason, Madden 08 PS2, won't allow me to use PS2 custom created books in franchise play. And it mis-interprets my 2020 books when I use them in .fra play. Al Michaels called kick return as a"Dime Coverage", the game hung at the kick-off! So I'm testing without modified kick/punt return logic! But the 2020 books work fine in "Play Now" exhibition without issues!

Going into the 3rd season of the fused franchise. The K.C Chief's are slated to move to Las Vegas at the end of the season. The league approved the move. I noticed the fan favorite jerseys have been replaced with KC golf shirts and team colored jackets. The team is 7-1 and the fan base went down from 98% to 77% attendance! Oddly, the team is now wearing the all-white uniforms as their home uniforms like the Cowboys!

Coaching staff for the chiefs: Herman Edwards HC, Brian Billick OC, Ex-linebacker Thomas Johnson (NYG) DC and Steve Spagnola is ST!

KC traded for Byron Leftwich after Trent Green retired after he won the SB. They picked up FA Darren Sproles after Priest Holmes also retired! Antwaan Randle EL was aquired as a FA. Also, they acquired Aaron Rodgers in FA (who was only rated 74). They traded Pat Surtain and a 2nd round pick to N.Y Jets for Derrell Revis & a 4th round pick. Ty Law was also traded to the Colts for CB Marlin Jackson & a 3rd round pick! The Colts also acquired Deltha O'Neal as a restricted FA!

Chief's linebacker corp includes FA's MLB Al Wilson, LOLB Lavar Arrington, ROLB's Kendrell Bell & Landon Johnson! DE Justin Tuck and TE Doug Jolly also were acquired!
Tony Gonzalez was traded to the Panthers for a few draft picks to clear cap space!

Hot Edit: Spagnola implemented his all DE front package to get Tomba Hali, Jared Allen and newly acquired Justin Tuck and Courtney Brown valuable play time!

Now for the CPU owner action!

Ben Rothelisberger was traded to the Jaguars. Hines Ward was acquired by the San Diego Chargers! Jake Ddelhomme is the starting QB for Dallas. David Garrard runs the Lions offense. Seneca Wallace is the franchise QB for the Packers! Charlie Frye is the QB for the Ravens offense. Steve McNair was traded to Washington! David Carr runs the Steelers offensive unit!

Ray Lewis was released by the Ravens and is now a Bengal! Zach Thomas was traded to the Chargers to shore up their defense! At the end of this season, I will be importing the NCAA 11 draft class!
