If you have issues getting these scripts to work, then make sure you aren't using the mainapp.exe from the Amazon digital download version or from the DVD. Also please post any issues you may have with the scripts and the gui as I plan on updating as I put in/tweak more scripts.

If you have the Amazon digital download version or the DVD version of Madden, then you will need to replace the mainapp executable from this link here:https://www.sendspace.com/file/d4zgjz

Quick Instructions for replacing the mainapp.exe and using these scripts.
1. Download the mainapp.exe from link above
2. Navigate to Madden NFL 08 folder, which is usually located at C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Sports\Madden NFL 08
3. Rename your original mainapp.exe as originalmainapp.exe
4. Copy downloaded mainapp.exe to Madden NFL 08 folder usually located at C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Sports\Madden NFL 08
5. Download latest version of Calhoupe's Scripts Package below.
6. Extract and start from any folder. If you get an error on starting the scripts program, then right-click on the file and select "Run as administrator"
7. Select the scripts you want to use and click Launch Madden or Launch Texmod/uMod if you want to use Texmod to launch madden.

These files will sometimes trigger a virus detection. You may need to disable your virus protection to download the file and/or add an exception to your antivirus program. Cheat Engine trainers hook into memory similar to some malware so if your antivirus gets excited consider it a false positive and move on.

Enjoy!

Edit 7/20/2018
Updated to 1.70
Added the new rule changes the NFL put in place for 2018, which mostly affects kickoffs. Added the ability to choose any uniform number for any player regardless of position. This script is automatically turned on so you don't have to enable it in the GUI. Zoomed out the TV camera even more. XPs should be missed less frequently now by the CPU. Lots of bugs were fixed, which included removing the script that allowed players to pick up the ball after the whistle; that was just causing too many problems. As always, please send me crash reports via Ollydbg. See the readme.

Edit 12/21/2017
Updated to 1.69
Broadened the fix for the second Windows 10 1709 bug, which the previous version only partially fixed. By default the bit rate and hertz for a custom resolution will be 32 bit and 60 hz. and this will be reflected in the video settings within Madden as well. Updated missing changes to the GUI.

Edit 12/19/2017
Updated to 1.68
Fixed another Windows 10 1709 bug fix that would crash madden sometimes when play art was shown before the play plus a few other bug fixes within my code. The resolution setting within Madden will no longer revert to 640*480 as long as you input a resolution into the GUI dialog boxes that your computer supports. Fixed a bug that would cause a crash in the Cinematic Camera. Fixed a couple of nasty bugs in Updated NFL Rules related to CPU vs. CPU games and also a bug that would cause a crash when disabling Updated NFL Rules. Please keep sending debug reports as per the instructions in the readme; they've been very helpful in locating and squashing bugs either in my code or the incompatibilities from the Windows 10 1709 Update.

Edit 12/12/17
Updated to 1.67
Small but necessary update for Windows 10 1709 users. Microsoft made changes to DirectX in their latest major update and broke Madden. This script fixes the crashing that occurs when the penalty overlay box pops up. If you have the Fall Creator's Update (1709) this is currently the only fix. The scripts program automatically runs this bug fix script so you don't have to do anything other than run Calhoupe's Madden Scripts. The other change included with this update is the addition of a dialog box that let's you set the screen resolution. This applies to both full screen and windowed mode.

Edit 12/6/2017
Updated to Version 1.66
Added the NCAA scripts from my NCAA program. These are all contained in NCAA Rules. Added the ability to force the game to use Windowed Mode. Completely redid the lateraling to better reflect college-style pitches. Fixed some bugs although there are still some known bugs. Once again I'm implementing an improved debugging system. Please see text document within zip file.
https://www.sendspace.com/file/zql9jk

Edit 9/28/2017
Updated to Version 1.65
Not a major update but I did fix some bugs from previous version. Added ability for players to pick up the ball after the whistle (included in the Remove Sideline Limitation scripts for coding reasons). Fixed Extra Points for away team so that they line up immediately at the 15 yard line. Cinematic Camera is now fixed so that you can have the Madden camera selected without the screen going whacky. Also added Ollydbg for debugging purposes. See the readme for more info. https://www.sendspace.com/file/fysmpq

Edit 9/13/2017
Updated to Version 1.61
Fixed a bunch of bugs from previous version. Changed cinematic/sideline view to be more zoomed out. Cleaned up the TD celebrations so they should only happen on TDs. Also included a batch file for debugging purposes. If you are experiencing Madden crashing while running these scripts you can run the debugging batch file and send me the results. Check the readme within the zip. https://www.sendspace.com/file/h53s3s

Edit 9/7/17
Updated to Version 1.60
Now includes TD Celebrations, cinematic view for CPU games, ability to speed up superstar and CPU games, OT time limit, Set Franchise Year, and the ability to use old kick meter. I pushed the update pretty quickly so there may be some errors.
https://www.sendspace.com/file/vjlmad

Edit 3/28/2017
Updated to Version 1.58
Now includes a Launch TexMod button so you can enable scripts and then launch the game through TexMod. Updated the ReadMe, a few GUI changes and a couple of minor script changes; Remember when enabling the 1080p script while Madden is running the script program will hang until you reenter Madden.
https://www.sendspace.com/file/gl9hs0

Edit 3/20/2017
Updated to Version 1.57
OK, the last two versions were pretty broken. This should hopefully fix the GUI freezing issues. When enabling the 1080p script while Madden is running, the script program will hang until you reenter Madden.
https://www.sendspace.com/file/4ocbd6

Edit 3/11/2017
Updated to Version 1.56
Hopefully fixed a lot of interface errors with this new version that had sneaked into 1.55. Solved an old problem with Madden displaying extra balls on the field that weren't in use. Removed commentary for SuperBowl intro. Changed first down line to yellow for downs 1-3. Added option for 1080p resolution for main menu. Do not use unless your monitor/tv can run at 1920X1080 resolution. Also when enabling the 1080p script while running Madden, Cheat Engine will hang until you reenter Madden.
https://www.sendspace.com/file/zajm4w

Edit 3/1/2017
Updated to Version 1.55
Added Auto Replay for every play, change player name color to black, Super Bowl intro for every game, and the orange down line now shows up as red on 4th down (this was put under NFL rules).
https://www.sendspace.com/file/w2lrle

Edit 10/13/2016
Updated to version 1.50
Added ability to change Accelerated Clock. Also added a hack that unrestricts viewing in replays and also extends the length of the replay to the next play unless interrupted by the user going into the replay screen or an auto replay such as a challenge replay. Finally (I think) fixed bug in the Return FGs code that caused FGs to be counted as missed if the ball hit the goal posts before going through.
https://www.sendspace.com/file/kiva1l

Edit 10/5/2016
Updated to version 1.47
Another bug fix with the GUI; added a few scripts that correctly attribute stats. Defenders will now be credited with deflected passes instead of dropped balls with the Remove Sideline Limitation script. Also, the FG kicker (technically the kicker who does the kickoff) will receive credit for the XPs that are skipped via the Skip Extra Point script. https://www.sendspace.com/file/gunyvr

Edit 9/26/16
Updated to version 1.45
This update includes bug fixes and the addition of CPU Extreme Hitstick in which the CPU attempts more hitsticks. This makes the game more challenging and fun IMO. One handed catching has been toned down for the Expanded Catching scripts as well. Ghost lines have been removed. If you don't know what these are then don't worry about it. The Load and Save functions within the GUI now work and use a save and load dialog.
https://www.sendspace.com/file/s89c4l

Edit 9/8/2016
Updated to Version 1.4
Now includes user controlled one-handed and diving catches. Updated all rules to match current NFL rules. Offensive superstar camera has been added (experimental). OT rules have been improved including the AI playcalling now works correctly in OT. You can now pump up or quiet the crowd. See the readme within the application for more info on updates.
https://www.sendspace.com/file/lpvvv4

Edit 8/27/2015
Updated to version 1.3
Now includes updated challenge rules and pylon dives in the middle of the field. Updated new moves so they're accessible for keyboard users. Does not include an offensive superstar camera as I've run into too many issues implementing that. See the readme within the application.
https://www.sendspace.com/file/7ijr1v

Edit 5/28/2015:
I've finally updated to version 1.2, which includes some requested additions and bug fixes. Specifically I've added Individual Defensive Camera, and AI QB Adopts Peyton Manning's Signature Style, and the new extra point rules.
Edit: 5/30/2015: Version 1.22
https://www.sendspace.com/file/53ehk6

Edit: 9/24/2015
I've released a mostly comprehensive list of my scripts and Cheat Table. Download below if you are interested in Cheat Engine. Calhoupe Cheat Table and Scripts for Madden 08.zip

Have you ever thought about adding a coordinator only mode like NCAA football games have? Where you only play offense as an OC and slow sim the defense and visa versa? I really think that would be the cherry on top, is it even possible?

Hey everyone,

Running into one issue in trying this and that's after I load the game via OLLYDBG and minimize the game from the main menu, I never see the options screen like it's shown in the first post's image. I see the OLLYDBG and the game's minimized screen in the taskbar, but that's it.

I see people mentioning some CHEAT application or something? That wasn't in the download unless I'm just missing it.

Thanks!

Not sure what OLLYDBG is and why you're using it but download the NFL script 1.70. In it you'll have a self executable file, run it and turn on whatever cheats you desire. Then click Launch Madden, you may have to tell it where to find the Mainapp.exe file the first time you use it. The game should start up and apply your selected cheats.

My virus software removed that .exe completely! I it now, but the game crashes after I select my mods and run the game.

Another directions list I was following asked me to run that OLLYDBG app and then run the game through that. It's actually included in the same zip as the .exe file for this.

Can someone please help me out?

How do I go about getting the in-game calendar year to actually show 2021 here on the left-hand side?

I THINK they should be modified by calhoupe's scripts but I'm not 100% certain. I know the player stats should be updated by calhoupe's scripts (though not in every page), but the year listed on the schedule may be in the data files. Again... can't really remember. I just know that the calhoupe's script setting changes the year inside a player's stat page for me.
