"Jake the Jay here, reporting to you live on the Jackson Pines radio network! You may have seen that Our Jackson Pines Blue Jays took the short trip into the city to take on a tough Port Boyerton South team this week. Did you see the final score? No? 38 - 7 in favor of our Jackson Pines Blue Jays! Could we be on the path to another state championship season? I like our chances with Senior QB Nick Finch at the helm for the Big Blue. Nick is having another great season and is really demanding attention from the college scouts, having drawn offers from 16 of the 32 Aquatova colleges and even several small US schools. Nick stated that he is interested in looking at any school that will give him the time of day, but will ultimately make the choice that suits him best. Let me tell you this: If you are a college scout looking for a QB, this is the guy for you! Nick, we wish you the best of luck and we will be continuing to update the folks at home as to your decision as you go through the recruiting process..."

Nick Finch is the senior quarterback for the Jackson Pines Blue Jays. Nick has been a starter since his freshman year and has lead Jackson Pines to State Championships in his Sophomore and Junior seasons. Nick is a pocket passer by trade, though he can rely on his legs for a couple yards every now and then if he has to. Nick is gunning for a spot on the state All-Star team for his senior season and is looking to make his way into the college ranks. It doesnt matter at what level of college football, Nick just wants to play.

Through 4 weeks of his senior season, Nick has 938 passing yards, 9 passing TDs, and 1 INT Each week of the HS season, you will be updated with the most recent games stats. 16 of the 32 colleges in the fictional country of Aquatova, (where nick resides) has offered him a full ride. As well as several Division 2 schools in the USA. Aquatova is north and east of New York and Pennsylvania and has a similar climate to those states, and it is of course an island between the US and EU.

If you would like Nick to attend YOUR college, please act as the recruiting specialist for your team and make a pitch for Nick to come in the reply section. There is no guarantee that Nick will sign with a school that recruits him but who knows?? There is no limit as to what type of school you are recruiting as, you can be FBS, FCS, Division 2, Division 3, NAIA, Canadian Colleges, Fictional schools, whatever! But Nick will sign with the best school for his needs. Depending on what happens, he may even sigh with an Aquatova college! The chances of going pro from an Aquatova College are nowhere near as good as they are from a big US school, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

Nick is really looking forward to hearing from you all. Let the fun begin!

Current College Offers (In chronological order): All Aquatova Schools, Delaware State, Southern Illinois, Bucknell, North Dakota, Illinois State Lehigh, Maine, University of Pennsylvania, and Lafayette University.

Week 5 game Vs. Enterline Point W 35 - 21

242 Passing yards, 3 Passing TDs, 8 Rushing yards, 1 Rushing TD.

Jackson Pines pulls off another victory over rival Enterline Point. The Jays continue to storm through their conference schedule and are looking to be in great form for a playoff push as they currently sit with a 4 - 1 record as we hit the halfway point of the season. Next week, the Jays make the LONG trip to the northern border of the state to take on the Davidson Wheels. Nick Finch, the standout QB for the Jays is continuing to receive offers from the Aquatova schools as he now has offers from 20 of the 32 schools, as well as several Division 2 US colleges and now, Delaware State has offered him a scholarship. We will keep you updated with more as we find out!

Week 6: Davidson Wheels, W 59 - 14. 358 Passing yards, 5 Passing Tds

In another lopsided game, the Jays have steamrolled through the Davidson wheels. Davidson who came into the game at 0 - 5 fell behind almost instantly as the first play from scrimmage was a huge pass from QB Nick Finch to FB Tony Williams. Williams caught the ball about 4 yards from Finch and proceded to run the remaining 60+ yards for the quick lead. The Blue Jays didnt let up and made short work of the lowly Davidson team. Next week, the Jays head back to the big city to take on Port Boyerton North, who are having an uncharacteristicly bad season, coming into the game with a 2-5 record. Jackson Pines defeated the Bombers earlier this season by a score of 30 - 13, and are hoping to replicate that success as the season continues on. Finch, having had a massive game against Davidson has attracted more attention from the all Aquatova schools and has now secured an offer from Southern Illinois, Bucknell, North Dakota and Illinois State. So far, Nick has no FBS offers, but it seems that he can make a name for himself as an FCS player as it stands. Still, Nick is keeping his recruiting open.

Week 7 @ Port Boyerton North W 31 - 14. 238 Passing yards, 2 Passing Touchdowns

"Jake the Jay back again to get you caught up with the latest and greatest Jackson Pines football news! Last night, the Jays took route 55 along the elevated rail into the city of Port Boyerton where they had been mercilessly beaten time and again. This year though, the Jays are powering through both Port Boyerton teams and are giving the Bombers a taste of their own medicine. A large part of their success comes at the hands of Nick Finch, who is continuing his great senior season and continues to get scholarship offers. After beating the bombers, Nick was met by a crowd of fans and apparently amid those fans were two more college coaches. The coaches were from Temple and Villanova, both schools in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. We caught up with Nick to talk to him about his most recent game and college offers...
'It seems like we get Port Boyerton North as our Double Feature opponent every year, and I think that we have embraced it instead of fearing it. Port Boyerton North is obviously a great football program and the fact that we beat them twice this year and last year is really showing that our team is really taking steps towards becoming a great program in the future... I cant even believe that I just got my first FBS offer! It is really a great feeling to know that I have what it takes to play at the highest level of college football. Im not throwing shade at any of those smaller schools, of course, because I know those guys have just as much game as some of those bigger schools. I mean, look at Villanova for example, they are a team that just recently won an FCS championship. Again, I am not counting anyone out yet, not even our Aquatova schools. I just want to play football and do whats best for my family and myself.'"

Week 8, Barnhart Tech, Win, 35 - 7. 251 Pass Yards, 3 pass td, 2 Rush td, 2 INTs

Well folks, The Jays have played another weak team from the norther tier of the state and again, they have come away with a victory. The Jays won, but their star QB was a bit disappointed with his performance. After the game, Nick was quoted as saying "I take pride in my ability to move the ball and not turn it over, I threw two interceptions last week and I just am not happy with how they happened... I forced some bad throws...I will improve it. I promise you that." Although Nick threw for 251 yards, 3 TDs and rushed for 2 more tds, he chose to focus on his areas of improvement. Scouts are impressed with Nicks ability to diagnose his issues and address them, but they were expecting a better outing against a VERY weak Barnhart Tech squad.

4 Additional Colleges have offered Nick a Scholarship, Lehigh, Maine, University of Pennsylvania, and Lafayette University. Nick is gathering some traction in the FCS ranks. But is still looking for a big break in the FBS ranks.

Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen.

Jake the Jay herekeeping you up to date with the latest from our Jackson Pines Standout, Nick Finch. Over the last few weeks, Nick had a few subpar efforts as the Jays finished out the regular season and marched into the playoffs. In week 9, Nick had a horriible game against the Hendrickson Steelers throwing for 85 yards and 3 interceptions. It is no surprise that the Jays would lose that game by a score of 3 - 17. The following week, Nick had an average game, throwing for 184 yards and 1 TD against a very strong Mackle Valley squad, who came into the game with an 8-1 record. The Jays would beat the Seminoles by a score of 23 - 10 and enter the playoffs as the #6 team in the Norther Tier.

Week one of the playoffs saw the Jays travel to Burnettsburg to take on the 9-1 Burnettsburg Bandits. The bandits got out to a quick 10 - 0 start against our Jays, but Nick Finch found a rhythm atthat point leading the Jays to 24 consecutive points and a round 1 playoff upset victory.

Round 2 of the playoffs had the Jays pitted against the very strong, second ranked Diamond Falls Miners. The Jays had a reasonably good offensive game, but their defense apparently never got off the bus and the Jackson Pines season ended with a loss to Diamond Falls in the Northern Tier league Semi-Finals.

Clearly, the season didnt go the way Nick wanted... But it was a stretch since so many of last years key players had graduated. The team was pretty one dimensional as Nick had to rely on his arm most of the time because the freshman running back wasnt drawing much attention from the other cordinators.

With the somewhat disappointing season in the books, Nick is now looking to attend colleges. Nick has decided he would like to go to the united states to play his collegiate football, as it will give him a better opportunity to get exposure to the NFL coaches. However, Since Nick is playing in a less than stellar high school league, and had an unremarkable senior year, many big time colleges were hesitant, and ultimately decided not to offer him a scholarship. Nick received many scholarships from FCS programs and some FBS programs (the FBS has been restructured in this universe, by the way) and Nick has narrowed his college choices down to the following schools who have offered him a full ride

The FBS has been restructered where teams are classified into four groups of 32 teams based on their football tradition. The "best" teams are in the AAAA class, while the teams with the least prestige are in the 'A' class. The classes are identified in ()

FBS
Vanderbilt (AA)
Ohio (AA)
Louisiana Tech (AA)
UCONN (AA)
Charlotte (A)
SJSU (A)

FCS
#9 NC A&T St
#10 William and Mary
#12 Furman
#14 Jackson St
#18 Montana State

If you would like to make a case for any of these schools (or your favorite team) drop a line on here. Otherwise, Nick will announce his college decision within the next couple days.

This is Jake the Jay, signing off.

Go to Montana State! The campus is gorgeous, the program has historically been willing to start freshmen at QB (recently including a 17-year-old true freshman!) and if you reach your potential, you can make the biggest impact there by raising the team's level the most. If you come to Bozeman, you'll be the big man on campus right away. Everyone here will love you.

Could be interesting to see Montana State going to FCS Playoff again;
