Detroit unveiled their new logo a couple of days ago, eliminating the black and introducing a new wordmark. Then they announced that they would remove black from EVERYTHING.
Now that raises a question.
What will they do with their Color Rush uniforms?
I honestly thing they should keep black on the uniforms, which would make the Color Rush uniform make sense, and looks good as an accent color. The font is pretty decent, but gives off a Vikings vibe. Not as good as their current font.

I have to agree, that font looks like it was directly ripped from the Vikings' font.

Not directly, but I see some striking similarities. Their previous font was perfect and unique.

I'd rather see them WIN in the playoffs than change their logo. It's like the Browns changing their "logo" and getting new uniforms; they DIDN'T think about fixing the franchise's issues first.
