Might want to add Alfred Morris to that list. Who knows how long Elliott's holdout will last...

Nah, they're gonna cut him and immediately bring him back a day later. It's something about his contract. If he makes the team out of camp, his salary is guaranteed the whole year, but if he doesn't, they can just re-sign him right away after the 53 is final and won't have to pay as much. He's a vested veteran so he's not subject to waivers.

As for my mock, it looks a little something like this:

Code: Select all

QB (2):

Dak Prescott
Cooper Rush

RB (3):

Tony Pollard
Jordan Chunn (depending on the severity of his injury.)
Jamize Olawale

WR (6):

Amari Cooper
Michael Gallup
Randall Cobb
Tavon Austin
Devin Smith
Cedrick Wilson

TE (3):

Jason Witten
Blake Jarwin
Dalton Schultz

T (3):

Tyron Smith
La'el Collins
Cameron Fleming

G (4):

Zack Martin
Connor Williams
Connor McGovern (likely to be placed on IR after day 1.)
Xavier Su'a-Filo

C (2):

Travis Frederick
Joe Looney

DE (6):

DeMarcus Lawrence
Tyrone Crawford
Taco Charlton
Dorance Armstrong
Kerry Hyder
Joe Jackson

DT (5):

Maliek Collins
Antwaun Woods
Christian Covington
Daniel Ross
Trysten Hill

LB (6):

Leighton Vander Esch
Jaylon Smith
Sean Lee
Joe Thomas
Chris Covington
Luke Gifford (possibly will be placed on IR after a day or two.)

CB (6):

Byron Jones
Chidobe Awuzie
Anthony Brown
Jourdan Lewis
C. J. Goodwin
Donovan Olumba

S (4):

Xavier Woods
Jeff Heath
Donovan Wilson (depending on his injury.)
Kavon Frazier (I know they like Thompson, but he hasn't looked that good on the field.)

ST (3):

Brett Maher
Chris Jones
L. P. Ladouceur

Reserve (4):

RB Ezekiel Elliot (holdout)
DE Randy Gregory (suspension)
DE Robert Quinn (suspension)
WR Noah Brown (PUP)

PS (10):

QB Taryn Christion
RB Mike Weber
WR Jon'Vea Johnson
TE Marcus Lucas
C/G Adam Redmond
T/G Jake Campos
DE Jalen Jelks
DT/DE Daniel Wise
LB Justin Phillips
CB Mike Jackson

I absolutely would not be surprised if they kept Darian Thompson over Kavon Frazier, though I think Frazier looks better. I also would not be shocked if they keep Justin March due to Gifford's injury. And I fully expect Alfred Morris to be back after a day. So the roster will obviously not be set, but that's what I think it'll look like day 1.

If I had to swap out anybody though, I'd swap Ross for Wise and Wilson for Phillips. I like Wilson a lot, but I think they might be able to get him onto the practice squad, while getting Phillips and Wise on it might be more difficult.

Last year was very easy to predict the final roster

I'm just concerned by the tackle position depth, i don't know if i trust Fleming if Smith or Collins have to miss some games ...
Off course we need zeke...
You right i see them bringing back Morris

I don't trust him fully, but he played last year a bit and he was certainly better than Chaz Green ever was. He started a Super Bowl for the Patriots a few years back, so he's not lacking in experience at all.
