I forfeit. There is no way that Grant will get more yards. I expect him to be our Sean Alexander of the season. Once Royster is healthy, he'll probably be cut for a younger RB.

Just to make things interesting (and to ruin my fantasy team  ) I would like to jump in with a late entry: Alfred Morris. Shanahan will be forced to pick up Tiki Barber off the street and start him next game, AFTER Alfred Morris breaks his leg falling down the stairs!

Well, your pick doesn't count, but I guess you can win an imaginary award if he does win.
I wouldn't say it's over, Morris could still get hurt, and Royster may get a shot. Anything can happen......in Shanahanland.

The Redskins have cut Ryan Grant and signed Keiland Williams.
However this is basically useless because Alfred Morris has run away with the RB job.
I guess the only thing that remains is if Shanahan will........never mind, there's no way I can predict what will happen.

For once, I think Morris is going to be our main back. If he gets injured, though, then all heck breaks loose.

It's useless because it's trading a good back for a straight-line, slow, mediocre back. Keiland Williams couldn't cut it as a Lions' RB if that tells you anything.

Ryan Grant is not young. He's three years Keiland's senior. Keiland was serviceable for the Skins in 2010, and was a good third down back. After losing Fred Davis, we need someone we can use on third downs. Keiland will be more useful than Grant, and could possibly push Royster.

I thought Ryan Grant was around 27. Redacted there, but if you can't cut it as a third-down back with the Lions of all teams...

I recall Williams playing servicably there. Isn't Joique Bell taking over the backup spot in Detroit (to Sidelion)? But with Royster not even getting action, I don't think Williams will be used much. (I recall Royster being the 3rd down back...)

Yes, Joique Bell is the current backup, and he's been good in his own right (would have won us that Titans game), but the fact is that the Lions' running game is now even more one-dimensional with the essentially permanent loss of Jahvid Best. I would go so far as to say that coupled with the line's less-than-stellar run blocking, the Lions have one of the worst running games in the NFL.
