Sure they did.

He retired 9th all-time in td passes, and 12th in passing yards.

He played in a different era and it was a vastly different style of play.

Proper football etiquette. Brett Favre was the same way in giving praise to a defender who sacked him. I think if you do it too much as Luck does it becomes superficial. Giving a hand up is probably the best show of sportsmanship in my book. When it's late in the game and you're tired and beat up and the opponent gives you a hand up you notice.

I remember the 45-3 Thanksgiving game that he and the Lions torched the Steelers. That and that kick on the DB in a game.

Just remember this about Bradshaw.. first to win 4 Super Bowls...But he called all his own plays and had to know the correct audibles to call, He didn't wear a little green dot or have a headset in is helmet.
