Jones initially seemed an unlikely candidate for a long-term deal, but Patrick Mahomes' creative extension paved the way for the Chiefs to keep their interior force on the defensive side of the ball. Jones also achieved his goal of reaching $20 million-plus in average annual value. Headed into his age-26 campaign, Jones is one of the most disruptive defensive linemen in football. He has 33 sacks in four years, 24.5 of which have come over the past two seasons. The Chiefs have all the pieces in place to make another run at Lombardi in 2020.
