So Clemson (#2), Michigan (#3), and Washington (#4) all lost today. This pretty much guarantees Ohio State and Louisville a seat in the playoff (For this week at least, anything can happen!!!).
This leaves the question, who will get #4?
Who will get the #4 Spot?

Who will get the #4 Spot?
God bless america!
Re: Who will get the #4 Spot?
I wouldn't be surprised it OU got #4... But I don't want them to get it, because I want Oklahoma State to beat OU.
Oklahoma State is the best.

I know you're joking but that's kinda ironic considering you're a Patriots fan.

Say it all....
Re: Who will get the #4 Spot?
I'm think Michigan doesn't deserve a playoff spot, because of the "Strenght of Schedule"
1- Bama
2- Buckeyes
3- Clemson
4- Louisville
IMO this will be the most entertainment games to watch
Lamar Jackson against the Tide Defense...

Yes... but I'm not a bandwagoner because I became a Patriots fan in 2010, when I was 9 years old. Right after the Steelers won the Super Bowl. The Pats didn't get a title until 2015, but I was a New England fan long before then.

Re: Who will get the #4 Spot?
You might laugh, but Penn State has a shot.
PSU is 8-2 right now. Their two losses came to Pitt IN Pittsburgh, and Michigan in Ann Arbor. Not only are these quality losses (first, because Pitt beat Clemson and second, because Michigan is one of the best teams in the nation and also lost to Iowa whom Penn State destroyed the week before), but they came early on in the season when Penn State was injury plagued, missing all their starting linebackers, some of their secondary, Saquon Barkley, some o-linemen, and a WR.
Penn State is at full strength now, and it's showing big league. The CFP takes into account all aspects of a team's season, INCLUDING what contributed to losses as well as strength in schedule. With that said, let's take a look at how they make the college football playoffs and clinch the #4 spot:
1) Destroy Rutgers and beat Michigan State soundly
2) Root for Michigan to lose to Ohio State on November 26th
if those both happened, they'd clinch the East division:
3) Beat Wisconsin in the Big 10 championship game.
If those three things happen, Penn State will be the Big 10 champion at 11-2. It's difficult to imagine that the CFP would take a Pac-12 team in that weak conference over the Big 10 champion over #4.
Then Penn State would most likely be up against 'Bama in game 1..........

So... I first knew Bama when Nick Saban was not there... and John Parker Wilson was the Starting Quaterback... 2006 to be exactly...
in those days USC and Texas are the top teams in college...
