Answer: ME!!!
So I live in Dutchess County, New York. I was hit by an extremely powerful, freak storm that lasted all of two minutes. Minute 0: Silence, then suddenly a huge blast of thunder, followed by 1 inch hail coming down like mad and extreme wind. Minute 1: Power goes out. Minute 2: Silence, all hail, rain, and wind stops.
I got out a half hour or so later to grab some food take out as I can't cook anything with no power, and... bam. Giant tree down in my driveway, toppled over power lines, and the end smashed straight through my rear windshield. I had some incredible friends who live nearby come over, and help me get the tree off my car and clean up some glass. I found that my car still runs, so I moved it out of the way, but along with the rear windshield, the left quarter panel and the trunk are dented to hell. There's also a small crack in my left rear light. Thankfully my gas tank is not on that side, so that was safe. They also helped us get our generator running. We bought it two year ago but hadn't ever needed it yet.
After the friends (and their family) helped me get my car out from under the tree, another friend came over and took a chainsaw to the tree, cutting it enough so that our one working car can get down the driveway. The remains of the tree are still down over the power lines, but my power has been restored. The power company said it should be safe, so long as I don't walk near the lines. They're coming soon to fix the ones still down.
As for my car, we called my car insurance, and it doesn't cover it, but our renter's insurance might, so they're coming out this week to look it over. I took a solid 50 pics or so of the damage, but I'm worried my car isn't worth much because it's old (2009 model year.) If it's not worth much, we'll likely just buy it back cheap and fix the windshield. Even if there's body damage, the frame is fine and it still drives. I can live with a dented quarter panel and trunk. So it could have been worse, but it was still horribly stressful and awful. Never thought that would ever happen, but there you go.

Well, once I ate 4 burritos for lunch and then didn’t eat for another week! Top that!
Lol. Jk. Just glad you’re safe.
