I really don't get why Edge would display videos but Brave and Chrome don't. All three are based on Chromium.

Well, Edge stopped displaying the YouTube player. I must have some sort of ad blocker enabled somewhere.
I think those privacy web browsers block the YouTube player because it sees them as ad players.
