Creating Arms For Franchise Player/Coaches

When you see that your new Head Coach , was a former player and has no arms or hands , this is one way to create arms and hands for him.

For some reason the game wants to make some older players into coaches , but EA never finished the code for the arms/hands. The fix I have is to turn those former player/coaches into regular coaches that the game will recognize correctly.

Once they appear do this ,

1.Open your "Franchise" file in DB Editor 3.0

2. Click on the "COCH" table

3. Export the "COCH" table as a .csv file

4. Open that COCH.csv file with EXCEL or OpenOffice(Calc)

5. Find the CWPL (Coach Was Player?) column and look for those entries that are "1" These will be the new player/coaches we want to change.

6. Find the CPSF ( Coach Professional Face ? ) column. The values you see there for the player/coaches , are the plyrface.dat numbers for those former players.

7. Change the values in the CPSF column to any coachface.dat value that matches the face you want. See mike9472 for those ,

8. Now look at those CWPL values and change all of them to "0" (normal coach)

9. Save

10. Open your "Franchise" file in DB Editor 3.0 , find the COCH table , import your fixed COCH table , File , save.

So , we are basically changing all the new "player/coaches" into "normal coaches" by changing the values in the CWPL ( "1" to "0") and the CPSF values from the plyrface.dat numbers to the coachface.dat numbers.

This only corrects the current franchise data , if and when a new "no-armed" player/coach appears , this must be repeated.

Finding a way to stop the game from making this mistake in the first place , is still a work in progress.
