HEISMAN 24 Mod for Madden NFL 08 comes with 6 zipped files, all of are the property of the members of the football freaks/ football idiot community. Before beginning in October of 2018, permission to update the HEISMAN 14 Mod was granted and this submission is the culmination of that work.
F.Y.I- Rosters are included in the "Rosters" File of the "Madden NFL 08 (4H24)" that you will insert into your "Documents" folder. There are 68 teams. Some can be imported in but... be sure to export the ones you're going to replace before deleting them from your Roster file. Rosters are "MOSTLY" accurate as of November 15th, 2023. Be careful editing players because their numbers can be automatically changed to reflect 2008 NFL jersey number position policies.
This update only includes the POWER 5 CONFERENCES and doesn't currently include season or Dynasty Mode playability. Okay. Now the installation instructions.
*DOWNLOAD THE FILE OR/FILES FROM THE LINKS BELOW. I MADE A FOLDER TO ACCESS THEM ALL, OR YOU CAN DOWNLOAD INDIVIDUALLY.*
NOW........
STEP #1. Unzip the Madden NFL 08 (4H24) file. Copy Madden NFL 08 (4H24) COPY and PASTE it into your "Documents" folder.
Once you've pasted it.... "rename" the "Madden NFL 08 (4H24)" that you copied to the "documents" folder to "Madden NFL 08". (DONE/step#2)
* IF you have an existing "Madden NFL 08" folder in your documents folder..........
When you're ready to play HEISMAN 24 simply "rename" your existing "Documents\Madden NFL 08\ folder" to whatever describes what it is...EX.Madden NFL 08(NFL24).
Then "rename" the "Madden NFL 08 (4H24)" that you copied to the "documents" folder to "Madden NFL 08".
STEP #2. Unzip the "Program Files(X86) HEISMAN FOOTBALL files". Copy and paste or/drag the files in that folder to your( C:\Program Files (x86)\EA SPORTS\Madden NFL 08) folder.
*WARNING*- This will change your copy of Madden NFL 08. I placed these files into my copy of Madden NFL 08 as a result of my ignorance when I installed the FF/FI NFL Mods. I then began to update the HEISMAN 14 MOD, not realizing that I was renovating the HEISMAN MOD on the FF/FI NFL Mod framework. AS SUCH......you would need the same framework to see the game in its entirety. IF YOU DON'T MIND CHANGING YOUR COPY OF MADDEN NFL 08....GO AHEAD and complete step #2.
IF YOU DO MIND....HERE IS THE SOLUTION.
Go into the "Program Files(X86)" folder, and open the "EA SPORTS" folder. From that folder, copy "Madden NFL 08" and then paste a copy of it in the space below.
Once the copy has been created, it will be named "Madden NFL 08-Copy".
I would then change the name from "Madden NFL 08-Copy" to "HEISMAN FOOTBALL" for the sake of clarity.
Then, unzip the "Program Files (X86) HEISMAN FOOTBALL FILES", Copy and paste or/drag the files in that folder to your( C:\Program Files (x86)\EA SPORTS\HEISMAN FOOTBALL) folder.
STEP#3. unzip the downloads of "THE BASE FILE/TEXMOD", the "HEISMAN STADIUMS 23" and the HEISMAN Conference Uniforms 23, and place them on your desktop/ or in a folder where you have space and you can easily locate each to start and load into texMod.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND...That calhoupe's "Madden 08 NCAA Scripts" "WILL MOST LIKELY" be called a virus by your computer anti-virus software. Calhoupe is a brilliant mind and he nor I would do something to damage your computer so feel free to download and use it with a vengence!

*IF YOUR A VETERAN OF HEISMAN FOOTBALL GO HIT THE FIELD!*
INFORMATION ABOUT THE FILES and how to load them.
* "Madden NFL 08 NCAA scripts" is optional. It can be used to change gameplay through its settings and upscale the video quality to High Definition. (my settings are included in the "Madden 08 NCAA scripts" folder for your convenience and can be loaded at the bottom)
* TexMod- Can be loaded through the "Madden NFL 08 NCAA scripts" or used alone. It is the program that will allow you to load the "HEISMAN STADIUMS 23" textures & the "HEISMAN Conference Uniforms 23" textures into the game. Then load and place the "BASE FILE" last!
* Base File- is the last thing loaded into "TexMod" after you have selected your desired "HEISMAN STADIUM 23" and your desired set of HEISMAN Conference Uniforms 23".
* HEISMAN STADIUMS 23- There are 68 teams and 68 Stadiums and most were designed based on their Heisman 14 counterparts. Some future stadiums (i.e...Kansas, Vandy & Northwestern) were included. Some stadiums possess ALTERNATE UNIFORMS for their teams and some opponents. Most Stadiums also have an alternate TV network presentation. Load first in "TexMod" to see them and only load one at a time.
* HEISMAN CONFERENCE UNIFORMS 23- The Uniform tpf"s are created according to 2023 Conference alignment so you must find the conference to find the team. We suggest that no more the two of these are loaded at the same time to keep the game from crashing. ALTERNATE UNIFORMS for teams in other TPF's are baked in especially in the PAC 12. Most are not stand alone (except in the PAC 12 where most ALTERNATE UNIFORMS are complete) and require the team possessing the ALT UNI to be loaded as well. To see these ALTERNATES load the TPF before the teams main TPF.
*MRE (no longer included but can be found on the website)- Is a set of modding tools created by the FF/FI Community and can be found on the web site. Its only included here as a means of convenience for those of you who like to tweak the game and modify Rosters. If you decide to tweak the roster during the game and you're not using the "Madden NFL 08 NCAA scripts", the players numbers are subject to change.
5. Load the game and click menu, then file. Find the listing for [2024Heisman .ros] and select it. Load that roster.
6. Enjoy.
