Elgupo put up a guide for numbers. Did you try it?
So the Giants traded Beckham....

What issues are you running into with the uniforms or numbers? I might be able to point you in the right direction

With numbers, it's generally the font...I don't know how to put them in a "grid" (align them), then import them in the game with palettes. Again, I've seen the tutorial for numbers but still confusing.

Are you speaking of NICK's Numbers Tutorial?
I started with that one and it is pretty daunting. It definitely works and paved the way for a most of the uniform mods that we use.
But, you would do yourself some good to grab up any advice that cyclone2426 throws your way.
He's helped me a sh#@-ton in the past. Numbers are a lot of work...there's really no way around it.
But, he's got some ideas and techniques that are not as much labor, yet can produce better results, in some cases.

NICK has a number tutorial...?

I used (well, was using) Elguapo's Youtube tutorial...

Thanks.

Kevin what version of Photoshop are you using? Or are you using GIMP?

I have Photoshop CS5, and I also have GIMP, however, I don't use GIMP very often now because I'm so used to Photoshop...

I would greatly appreciate it if you could show me how to do it the right way...hope you don't disappear and go inactive for a few months again, because I have plenty of time to work on it this week (off for Jewish holidays Thurs and Friday -- 4 days)

And also...does anyone know how to change the text for the UIS_FE_BACKGROUND (or is it UIS_LOAD? --need to check) letters...in this dat file are the pictures that you would see BEFORE AN EXHIBITION GAME/PRACTICE; you would see it on the top left.... I finally was able to replace the pictures in that file...but I don't know where the text for it is...I know I've asked this question so many times before, but I want to be as creative as possible..

I'll provide a picture of what I'm talking about as soon as I get home.

Tbh with you, the roster was imbalanced and Rixster had offered to help me revamp the roster. Now players have a "new look" --age, size, and how the awareness/attributes vary by their age. When everything is finished with this mod, I'll give him credit.

If you want to play around with it, here it is:
